Our event will run in a similar way as past years where after arriving at Scott Base and completing field training and licensing we will deploy a team overland to collect samples at Cape Royds in the penguin colony, a second team will be deployed by helicopter to Cape Bird for a 2 day sampling trip. The rest of the event will be run at five dive sites and huts maintained by USAP at Cape Armitage, Cape Evans, Cape Evans Wall, Little Razorback and Turtle Rock. We will run three day bouts of ice diving from Scott Base, using the McMurdo Dive Locker as in past years, with every fourth day devoted to sampling from the surface Transport to and from sites will be by Piston Bully. We will be using the wet lab, running seawater and a wanagon just over the SB transition for incubation experiments.
